The accounting inbox for Austria — in English

The accounting inbox for Austria, fully in English

You founded in Austria. The invoices, the tax letters, FinanzOnline — all German. useAccount.AI is not accounting software you have to operate — it is an inbox you feed: forward the German paperwork and it reads it for you, books it correctly under Austrian law, and explains every step in plain English.

No credit card. English interface from the first click. Cancel anytime.

Sound familiar?

Founding in Austria is fine. The paperwork is the boss fight.

"Every accounting tool I tried is German-only. I run my whole business in English — except the bookkeeping."— every expat founder, eventually
"The SVS letter looked like a fine. Nobody told me a bill for last year was coming."— r/Austria, paraphrased
"I just need someone to go over my UVA with me — in English."— r/wien, paraphrased

You're not doing it wrong. It's genuinely confusing — in any language. So we built the tool that translates the bureaucracy, not just the buttons.

How it works

Forward the German invoice. It's booked — and explained.

1

Forward any document

Email any invoice or receipt — PDF or photo, German or English — to your personal @inbox.useaccount.ai address.

2

The AI books it, Austrian-style

It extracts every §11 UStG field, applies the right VAT rate (20/13/10/0 %), picks the EKR account and books a balanced double entry. High confidence books automatically.

3

You read it in English

Every booking, report and warning is in English. Anything uncertain waits in a review screen; correct it once and the rule is learned for that vendor.

The German-bureaucracy features you actually need

Not a translated German tool — an Austrian tool that happens to speak your language.

🇬🇧

English interface, German exports

The whole app in English, switchable to German any time. Your Steuerberater gets standard DATEV/BMD exports — everyone works in their own language.

🤖

Reads German documents

Invoices, receipts, credit notes, even SVS contribution letters — the AI reads them like an Austrian accountant and tells you in English what they mean and how they were booked.

🧾

UVA without the panic

Austria's VAT return, generated from live data with the official Kennzahlen FinanzOnline expects — each box explained in English before you file.

🌱

Kleinunternehmer built in

Under the €55,000 exemption? Your invoices carry the correct legal note instead of VAT, and the tool warns you before you accidentally charge VAT anyway.

🌍

Invoice the world correctly

EU reverse charge, intra-community deliveries, exports — with the legally required invoice notes and gapless numbering (§11 UStG). Your US client gets a compliant Austrian invoice.

🔒

Compliant by design

Append-only journal per BAO §131, Austrian EKR chart of accounts, Storno corrections — an audit holds up even if your German doesn't.

FAQ

Questions, answered (in English, obviously)

Can I do my Austrian bookkeeping in English?

Yes. useAccount.AI is one of the few Austrian accounting tools with a fully English interface — every screen, report and explanation. Your Steuerberater can still get everything in German: the UI is switchable and exports (DATEV/BMD) follow Austrian standards.

Does it understand invoices and tax letters written in German?

That's the core of the product. Forward a German PDF or photo by email and the AI extracts all §11 UStG fields, applies Austrian VAT (20/13/10/0 %), picks the right EKR account and books a balanced double entry — then shows you in English what it did and why.

What about the UVA (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung)?

The UVA is Austria's periodic VAT return. useAccount.AI generates it from your live bookings with the official Kennzahlen (box numbers) that FinanzOnline expects — with English explanations of each line, so you know what you're filing.

I'm a Kleinunternehmer — does the tool handle the VAT exemption?

Yes. The €55,000 small-business exemption (§ 6 Abs 1 Z 27 UStG) is built in: your outgoing invoices carry the correct exemption note instead of VAT, the tool warns you if an invoice would charge VAT anyway, and reports adjust accordingly. The Regelbesteuerung opt-out is supported too.

Do I still need a Steuerberater (tax advisor)?

For the annual tax return and structural questions, usually yes — and useAccount.AI makes that cooperation cheap: your books arrive clean, audit-proof (BAO §131) and exportable to DATEV/BMD, so the advisor bills hours for advice, not for typing receipts.

Can I invoice clients outside Austria?

Yes. Outgoing invoices support EU B2B reverse charge, intra-community deliveries and exports — each with the legally required note on the invoice and the right treatment in your VAT return, plus gapless invoice numbering as §11 UStG demands.

What does it cost?

Launch prices from €9.90/month (excl. VAT) for 10 invoices per month, including UVA & P/L reports and DATEV/BMD export. Premium €29.90, Pro €69.90 with employees and expenses. Yearly billing saves ~17 %. Full details on the pricing section — every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card.
